Farewell 997 board (with pic)
After nearly 10 years with my 2005 911 Carrera Cab I finally made the move to upgrade to a fantastic 2014 CPO 991 C4S Cab. In those years and all of its 69K miles the RMS never leaked, the waterpump never seized, and the IMS never disintegrated, the AOS never clogged, the battery cable never fried. Actually the most reliable car I have ever owned.
Maybe it was the trip my wife took me on last fall to Stuttgart where I watched the cars being built. Or the 2 times I drove the 991 on the track in the "Porsche driving experience". Or maybe just the fact that my wife encouraged me to upgrade. Anyway my 997 was a wonderful car and it went to a good home. In some ways I miss it. But the 991 is a gigantic leap forward in many ways and I am thrilled. I have learned so much from so many on this board, and shared some of my own knowledge along the way too.
