4. Oil change: $162
I'd do #2 and 4 yourself. I changed out the windshield washer pump and gasket in about 1.5 hours for less than $20 (yes twenty) - not a difficult job. Part numbers 997-628-182-00 and 443-955-465-M21 both from Pelican Parts.

An oil change costs about $60 for Mobil 1, filter and seals.

I'd get another estimate from one of your local Indys on the other two jobs...bet you can save a grand there.

LOL! I suspect your wisdom comes from all the scaring.

I figure this for my DIY: I estimate the number of things I break and replace is still way cheaper than having the dealer do it right in the first place.... and always more entertaining. For $3K, you can buy all the parts, tools, beer, and be able to talk proudly about for years.... as apposed to not being able to sit down and be cranky for months.

Peace

I'm at 87,695 miles right now. Over the last 18,000 miles my Indy has replaced Waterpump, AOS, and all belt tensioners. I had IMS upgrade, clutch and spark plugs done at 50,000 miles. Other than that just standard oil changes every 3k-4k miles.

My car is a 2005 997S Launch Edition and drives immaculate.

Other than programming the key, you can probably call a buddy over and bang out everything on that list in one day if you decide to DIY.
