ObdII Readiness for Ga Emissions Test
I have occasional misfire codes from my 2005 Base Carrera.
If I drive her daily never get the codes
They reset easily with my basic BT 1 GoPoint reader and they
reset unless she sits for several days.
Anyway, my question is not the cause, it's emissions test related.
Since I routinely reset them when the app sees them shortly after startup, yesterday I reset them when they were only "Pending" ( the app said pending, there was nothing on the dash display).
No big deal but I forgot I was going to get my Ga emissions test for new tags.. It failed Readiness.
Here's the question, that failure was yesterday afternoon, I want to go for the retest in late AM Saturday
How much do I need to drive her to assure Readiness won't flag me
If I had not reset the pendings would misfire codes flunk my emission tests?
So if I go out tommorow AM and I get another pending misfire or worst case a dashboard check engine that IS a misfire code, do I clear em. Then is there a distance I hv to drive to negate Readiness, or is it distance AND ON/off power cycles or what.
I need to get a tag for this puppy tomm if at all possible

My experience in other cars has been 60 to 100 miles, as well as a few on off cycles. The different systems come back to life sequentially. It takes time. In CA you pass as long as all but up to two systems have powered up after a code reset has been performed.
