Congrats and welcome! Put on some clear sidemarkers and go make up for lost time on that mileage!

Clear bra installation slated for this week. Full clip, hood, mirrors.. and I'm thinking headlights as well.

Congrats on the Pcar purchase. Enjoy the slippery slope of ownership. Mod the hell out it if you can afford....Install a shifter kit right away!

I am no expert but I think the 997 will be the last of the great Porsches. Big motors. Normally aspirated. Mechanical steering. Just hard to beat.

Congratulations on a great buy, too.

Well I graduated college in '83 and thought I'd have the world by the ***** and it would just be a short time till I'd be cruising around in a Guards red 928S. Well then that little thing called life got in the way and put those plans on hold. Luckily my business has prospered in the last few years and sold my '85 380SL and was determined to get it done. Happy as a clam.

911finally & app state. Well congrats to both of you. As you mave have already noticed early in 911finally's thread, one of rennlists traditions is chiding new owners into dumping their orange pumpkin color side markers in favor of clear. It's more euro :-) anyway, those that chide have no $ interest in selling these (altho there are supporting vendors on here that do sell em).

Oh and if your wheels have the small center cap with the Porsche crest, it is de rigeur to have the bottom point of the crest 'pointing to the valve stem. then when I see a cooler car than mine somewhere and I see the crest pointed in awonky fashion I dismiss the owner as a poser/non enthusiast ( LOL )

oh finally, consider supporting rennlist by joining as a paying member. it's modest and I'm sure it helps the owners pay the hosting etc etc

again welcome & congrats on realizing your dream car!

Swordsmn, thanks for the tips. The crests are now proper but will have to wait on the side markers. Saw some on eBay. Is $45 plus shipping for the pair a fair price?
