Silicone Intake Boot
A question to those of us lucky enough (sarcasim) to live in CA.
Has anyone had an issue with the Fabspeed or other silicone boot/Hemholtz block off passing smog? I'm sure it doesn't impact the the NOX numbers, but it's the visual that has me concerned.
Probably the simplest option is to put the stock tube back on...takes a mere 10 minutes, but inquiring minds want to know.

Smogged the car today...left the intake boot on.
Tech plugged in the OBD port and popped the engine lid...was looking at the engine for a good 10 minutes and I'm thinking.....great, what the hell is he looking for?
So I go out and say what's up?
He says , man what a great job shoehorning in the engine, it's amazing!
So I say....how's the smog going?
He says, it's been done for 10 minutes, no issues, but this engine is so cool!
I felt I should charge him for the look under the skirt.
