Default PDK Clutch oil change frequency FYI

After talking to several dealers in MA, none of whom have done any PDK clutch oil changes and since I was also worried about a Transmission pan drain plug problem, causing replacement.
I contacted PCNA and gave them my VIN.
Got a call back today and pending a dealer recognizing a need, was told I can wait for the 120K/12 year PDK service, for clutch oil change.
Just a FYI to consider.

Default PDK clutch oil change

My dealer's recommendation is in alignment with PCNA.

Any chance the PCNA operator confused clutch oil with gear oil?

From what I've heard, 120K is the spec for the 991s. The 991 software shifts more gently than the earlier 997s. That could make a difference.

I had mine changed at 60K (2010 C4S) and the oil looked brand new. However, the oil was not sent in for analysis.

That being said, I wouldn't blame anyone for holding off, especially since so many dealers don't seem to know the first thing about doing this job.

But regardless, in my mind, the cost of swapping the oil vs the cost of a new PDK was worth every penny to me.

She was quite specific when I also questioned that point!!!
The answer is NO!
I reiterated that that was the 991 schedule and she said for my VIN 120/12 was OK!

Same. I had mine done at 6 years even though I haven't hit the mileage (53k mi). It probably didn't need to be done, but I just wanted to follow the recommendations set forth in the manual, and figured it might be some form of cheap insurance against more catastrophic pdk problems. I hope so anyway.

I have scheduled and cancelled this service twice, and not due to monetary concern. firstly, always concerned about the level of competence of anyone working on my cars, and rightly so in this case from what I've read.
I am hoping someone figures out a home diy procedure for this.
I am at 61,500 (09 c2) and will await further news.

I would also like to know which Turbos have that schedule. 997 Turbos or 991 Turbos?

i changed mine at 20k miles in late 2013, car was 5 years old (see left)... i had started tracking with this car the prior year as a novice and it had seen 15-20 track days at that point... felt it was time and did the pdk fluid as preventative maintenance at my local dealer sonnen... who did not argue, got the specs, right fluid, parts and procedure and did it just fine

all smooth since then, have tracked the car 6-8x more with my college age son learning, no issues, car shifts crisp and strong

seems counterintuitive that the more powerful car would have a longer service life?
