I just base my mileage as...

Gauge reads...
Full
Not full
Need to fill

Better than my suburban and better than wife's eX5.

2006 C2S here with 45k miles

90% city / 10 % freeway

Average 15 mpg.

I do drive aggressively when oil is warm and canyon carve.

Do you guys trust the onboard computer mpg? I feel like the real number is much lower, honestly I am going to the pumps continuously with a few "spirited" outbursts.

That's how I feel hence the thread.. I fill up every 3-4 days . My average mileage a day is about 60 miles.

I've seen as low as 10 with a heavy right foot around the city and as high as 28 on the highway when cruising under 75.

seems like it should be lower, along with the gas pedal .

This might sound crazy but I too felt that the onboard was about 2 mpg overly optimistic. About a year ago I had my PMC unit removed and replaced it with a Pioneer AVEC system. I still get mpg, remaining range, and avg mph on the counsel but now the mpg readings match my actuals.

I consistently get 15-16mpg with mostly city and maybe 15% freeway. It's not great but if I figure if I'm worried about mpg I shouldn't drive a 911.

All of my cars (a VW, a BMW, and 997) gave onboard mpg readings higher than my own calculations at the pump. My VW and BMW are generally off by 3% to 5%, while the 997 is usually off by 5% to 10%.

I average 22mph and average 15 mpg - mostly city driving in the DC metro area.

2009 C4S, I track every fill up. Here are my 2016 stats, right now the car is sitting at 58k miles on the odometer. 95% of my driving is 75 mph on a freeway with no traffic. I certainly make use of the 5% city driving though.

The right foot has more to do with gas mileage than almost anything else. I can't hardly keep my foot out of mine, so my mileage isn't great. And I don't care....

Reset the computer. It then will read actual short term mileage rather than log a long term average which does not really reflect what you are getting at any given time or even on any given tank of gas.

Mostly good back roads for the last 5 days. Mostly 3rd through 6th with some 7th gear. High variation in velocities and accelerations.

See 2016 post in the Over Time section.
