Duraflex GT3RS front spoiler and lip kit
Picked one up for $400 shipped and my stock C4 front spoiler looks tired. This was one of the first things I wanted to change when I bought ol C4. So spoiler will arrive raw and I'm going to paint or wrap it old porsche orange or light blue. Shouldn't any quality shop be able handle this? Any idea what I'll spend? Part of me wants to wrap it black and run it outlaw without a second thought. Bright or Light blue spoilers FR and skirts on a silver car would be sick...wondering if Duraflex needs a ton of prep!? Never tried painting so we shall see how this goes. IF the process is relatively simple I may powder coat my caliper neon green....

Avery makes a carbon fiber pattern vinyl that actually has fibers! It's new for 2016 and very flexible (sounds counter intuitive) with a gloss finish. My local vinyl shop did my roof, diffuser area, headlight trim, spoiler, and dive planes for $500. It started with the spoiler for $100 and soon expanded to the items mentioned. Pictures are in my album.

When I got my c4 the hood and sunroof was wrapped with the same stuff and it was a bitch to get off but it came off pretty much in one sheet once I got it heated up. You'll see the thread where I was removing plastydip from the rest of the car for the first month and discovering little surprises the previous owner never brought to light. They were really full of **** but I'm very happy with the car. Likely I will have in Invisibra done when I can spend the money, and the bumpers repainted in orange or that light blue Martini Racing style.

I have a 5 year warranty against fade and cracking plus free removal with a guarantee of no damage to the paint....in writing.
I've dealt with the same guy for years and had vinyl removed several times....don't know if it was a PITA, I just care about the results.

Bumper arrived and it is indeed nasty. The edge along the center vent for radiator is sort of indescribable and actually there are cracks at one side of the center section radiating outward. Wife was here and I raced home. Driver left. Do I wrap it and forget it, paint it and forget it or what? It's SCARY looking finish-wise. All the rumors are true. These require work. Here we go...... Quick review of their policy lace blame on the delivery service and they also state that item can arrive with cracks dents scratches etc. that magically will disappear with a proper body shop's working with fiberglass. Whatever that means, but this will be extensive prep just to smooth it out. Cracking is a new one though....how can a cracking bumper not just keep on cracking?

Who is the manufacturer?
Anyone who claims their fiberglass or polyurethane products are ready for install or paint is BS.....unless you don't care what it looks like. For a bumper I would set aside at least $1500 for prep/paint only if the part has been at least primered by the manufacturer. If not add $500 more.
As for fiberglass having some sort of self healing properties, well, I have a bridge for sale on the moon.
