Default 997 S Ride Height??? New Struts

Hi guys,

I need some help. I have an '05 997S which needed new front shocks. We went w Bilstein B6 Damptronic to work w PASM. Now, the car looks much higher and it is driving me nuts. I measured 27" from the garage floor to just under the front fender arch. I can put an entire fist between tire which is OE '19 inches and seems to be 2.5 inches of room between top of tire and arch. We used original spring. What happened here? Please assist. TY!

I knew it wasn't only me (my car). Same, had b6's installed along with Eibach's and while it raised the car it didn't raise it as high as yours. I attribute the increase in height to both the B6's having either taller spring perches or simply much more firm valving than oem pasm, along with the installation of new strut tower mounts. This is also why "most" that run OEM dampers (bilstein b4 equiv, softer valving) along with lowering springs don't ever encounter such.

Yes, I know a dated post, but maybe it helps someone else out there with a similar sitch.
