Picked up my 2006 C2S
Greetings,
I couldn't stay away for long. After selling my 2006C2S in 2013, I missed it quite a bit. So, I ended up buying nearly the same car. Sort of crazy, but it made sense to me.
Picked up my 2006C2S from Austin, TX. Drive back to MI with a couple of stops. Turned 33,333 miles just after the Mississippi River. Great trip with one of my daughters as my co-pilot.
Car was fantastic all the way. Not a huge fan of these wheels, but I like them better than lobster forks. I've been quick to make the car mine with the following few things:
-oil change to Joe Gibbs BR-30/ 100 mile drive
-oil change to Joe Gibbs DR-40/
-new magnetic drain plug
-air and cabin filters.
-swapped for clear front turn signals
-ordered a Dallas Custom Wheel in Alcantara. 1/8th wrap.
Next up (Memorial Day weekend):
-full detail with paint correction/ swirl removal
-alcantara shifter/ hand brake
-new engine mounts
-trans flush/ New PTX
Might add:
-Fuchs silver stars, but not right away.
-Getty ducktail, but I'm not 100%.
I know the color isn't for all, but I really like it. When it looks good in the right light. it looks really good.

That is a beautiful car and the color is cool ... not sure I have seen it before. What is the name of the color? Nice road tripp too ... glad that you made it home safely ... especially with your daughter along for the ride.

Thanks Guys for the notes. The color is Carmon Red. It was offered until 2007. I was so set on the color, it made the choice of a 997.1 that much easier. Took a while to find it, so I was happy when this one came along with clean history. Love the car and I'm looking forward to doing the detail work and wheel install this weekend. Have to learn all the maintenance again, which is sort of fun.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

I bought my 2006 in Wisconsin in late 2014, and drove it back to Texas; funny that we criss-crossed each other! I love the color and the car. Exhaust and PTX fluid is upcoming. Almost the same mileage as yours, too. Enjoy!
