Default 997.2 GTS front plate mount

Looking to mount a front plate on my 997.2 GTS on the bumper front center. There are holes already drilled as shown. The spacing is 7" between the top holes and 10" between the bottom with 1.5" vertical between the two sets.

Plate is currently on a tow hook mount which I want to replace with an actual tow hook. My state requires a front plate.

Can someone please recommend a mounting plate/bracket.

Thanks!

Checkout skene design. I have it on one of my car. I like it.

you can always modify the oem factory front plate bracket, add 2 extra mount points (total of 4 screws) and screw all 4 screws into the bottom of the bumper air duct (non visible).

mount will still be rock solid and you can always remove the plate bracket this way for photoshoots and what not.

The OEM front bumper plate mount fits in those holes. Dealer gave me one for free but I didn't drill my bumper. Probably laying around somewhere. Call your dealer. They'll have them around.

Looks cool until you hit that curb or driveway with the license tucked under. I wonder how low it hangs down when you factor the mechanicals?

I bought a 997 GTS license plate bracket from Suncoast and it fits great. The mounting holes line up perfectly with the lower (10" wide) plugs and the plate covers the upper holes as well.

Here is the problem, the bracket comes with a variety of screw types, but nothing that will secure into the existing holes - I was expecting some form of plastic anchor that would fit in the existing holes and received a screw.

Can anyone advise on what I should use?

buy some plastic toggler anchors.
put them through the bumper cover first, line up the plate bracket, insert the screws through the plate bracket and tighten them. viola

My concern is that the bumper cover is not thick enough - these anchors are typically designed to hold against 1/2" drywall. The wings will not properly contact the back of the bumper.

I've seen these DORMAN license plate fasteners online, but am not sure they will fit the existing holes properly.

I removed the plugs with a trim tool. The holes are only 3/16" or so. The screws that came with the mounting plate are long enough to engage the material behind the bumper cover and screw into it (although I didn't do this yet, the material 'feels' like it will receive the screws fine). This makes sense since the mounting plate and screws that came with it are all OEM. I think this solves everything.

I used Sto N Sho, simple and easy to install. I used the manual type.
