I have the exact same car except with h&r springs. How you manage to get stuck on speed bumps is beyond me

And you said the car would be undrivable?

I understand guys who already have lips questioning further lowering but saying its undrivable is laughable

My 997 looks and handles great as is and I would never consider lowering it.
Your explanation for why you lowered the 993 applies equally to the 997 - it makes it look better and handle better

I had a 993 that was lowered. With my 997 beside it the 4x4 look is unmistakable. It came ****ed up so we fixed it

Ya that 1"drop really slams it

I need some help. I have an '05 997S which needed new front shocks. We went w Bilstein B6 Damptronic to work w PASM. Now, the car looks much higher and it is driving me nuts. I measured 27" from the garage floor to just under the front fender arch. I can put an entire fist between tire which is OE '19 inches and seems to be 2.5 inches of room between top of tire and arch. We used original spring. What happened here? Please assist. TY!

I thought the Damptronics were adjustable ie cant you just lower it?

I have speed bumps on my way home that will probably become an issue if I lower mine. I’d like to but my 997.1 handles so well with its stock setup that I’m afraid to mess with it. I’m afraid that it would make my DD harder to live with. But I do like the lowered stance.

Not to mention that the front splitter already rubs.

I've always been told that suspension height measurements are made to specific chassis points NOT fender arches.

Stock.
Although an "S" does sit 1" lower than a non "S" already.

THAT would be low enough for me!

Formerly lowered on H&R springs, currently at stock height. Lowered was just too much of a hassle to deal with all the speedbumps and driveways.

Compare your pic with OP's, clearly not quite the same.

Good example. You simply need to approach the bump at an angle so that 1 wheel is on the hump until you get past it. On certain speed bumps, even my daily scrapes. To no surprise, these cars do sit low.

come on, cars look better lower period... slammed with camber way out of wack dragging your tail pipe is one thing but a nice drop on certain cars is simply needed.
