I have a 2006 4S cabrio (see pic). I use this as a semi-daily driver as I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee for hauling kid/dog and crappy weather.

I'm looking for more power and decided to trade up rather than modify. Love strong pulls, not really concerned with top speeds and triple digit driving. I'm looking to spend about $75-80k. It seems my best choices in that range seem to be:

2007-2009 997 Turbo
2011-2012 991 GTS
2013-2014 991 Carrera S

Obviously the Turbo will give me the best power improvement but maybe the GTS is a significant enough change to make me happy? Anybody out there make a similar move? I'm open to suggestions.

The turbo is wild. My old man has a 07 tip and it has brutal acceleration! but that is only once you are rolling and in boost. Off the Line it really struggles to get going (because of the gearbox)
If you do go this route, DO NOT get a tip , pdk or manual.

Wrt the gts, in real world/ on the road performance I don't imagine it will be a huge difference between your current car but I stand under correction since I have never driven gts

Why are you against modding?
A few simple bolt ons should get you gts figures?.
Is is it not a better option to changing cars?
