Default radio volume too loud when it initially comes on

I searched a bit and didn't fine anything on this topic. Every time I re-start my car (997.2 C4S) after a stop with the radio left on, the volume is too high and blasting sound. Then I must manually turn down the volume or use the buttons on the wheel . Is there any way to set the default volume level for the radio?

Mine comes back on at the volume I left it - but once in a while, I notice the computer wakes up in an odd order and the volume will be loud for a moment and the wheel buttons don't work yet - have to grab the ****.

My radio (997.2) comes on every time I start the car, even if it was off when I turned the car off. I've been meaning to research how to change this... Anyone know if this is normal or if there is a setting to change it?

I will later

I had the same issue with my 2009 997.2. Looked it up in the manual and found that although I thought I was turning the radio off, I was just muting it. You have to push AND HOLD the left radio **** for a few seconds to actually turn it off. If you only "mute" it, it will appear off and will come on (and at volume) when you re-start the car. Hope that helps

Check the manual. Pretty sure there is a section showing where you can set the volume to a certain level when turning on the car.

Incorrect, there is nothing in the manual that speaks to setting the initial volume for the radio. I know people are trying to be helpful but if you don't actually know the answer, don't guess.
