Ferrari, Lamborghini and a few others have just the same amount (if not more) of nonsensical, over-priced garbage that people with a long string of zeros in their bank balance will gladly buy.
If there was a market for it and I could sell dog-poop with a Porsche logo on it, I totally would. :P

Look, if they can make money on this stuff... fine. But...
What fascinates me is that Porsche brand was built by enthusiasts with a touch of snobbery (maybe a "big dollop"?). This stuff, IMO, actually hurts the brand. It reminds of the '70s Corvettes driven by hairy chested, gold chained, mustached, ..... um..... oops.... those guys were all my relatives..... I grew up in Western PA. This was a type of snobbery.
These things with the Porsche logo on them just turns the brand into... well a gold chain... or hairy chest.... or my cousin Lou, Vinnie, Jr, Rocco..... you get it.
High-end snobbery, if it to last, should have some sort of "education" or "smarter than average" attached to it. Buying this crap is not an advertisement for achievement but ....
Peace
