Default Looking to Buy a 997.2 C4S

Hi Guys,

Probably my first post on the 997 Forum. Thought I'd put a post over here and see if there is someone interested in selling a car or knows of one for sale.

I have owned my 1997 993 C2 for fifteen years and it gets driven less and less every year. As much as I enjoy driving it the mileage never seems to get above 1,000 a year (we have a 7 month season). I'll keep the 993 forever, but am looking for a more modern car to enjoy every day and MAYBE year round - versus driving my "boat" (Acura MDX). I'll keep the MDX for hauling my bicycles around.

So my specs.....

- 997.2 any year
- C4S only
- PDK
- Factory Navi
- Coupe only
- Any color but no black (love black but keeping it clean here is impossible)
- The usual caveats of no accidents, with records, etc.

I am not looking for a car to buy and resell so I expect to pay retail or dealer price. I have searched through the P certified locator website and called on a few cars but nothing so far. I am located in Upstate NY near Syracuse but location isn't a big deal. I could use a trip to pick up a car in a warm location....

Any suggestions will be appreciated on sources for a car or desirable options other than what I have listed.

I don't know too much about the 997.2 other than there is liquid cooling involved (how did that happen?) and the engine is in the right place!!

My direct email is: michael.capocefalo@gmail.com

Thanks in advance to all.

Nice C2, looks like with S bumper? Options wise in your search would be the adaptive sports seats too.

It took almost a year to find my .1 C4S, so patience is a virtue.

Yes Turbo bumpers front and rear, ROW, usual good options like pedals, steering wheel, handbrake, SSK.....lots of tasteful mods since 2001. Managed to get the factory armrest retro-fit kit when it was still available in 2002 for $500!!

Might I suggest you try and hunt down a 20009 C4S Launch Car. The launch car will check all your boxes and then some.

PDK
Meteor Gray Paint
Full Leather interior
Nav
Sport PASM
GT2 Carbon Bucket Seats

They're rare, but not overly so. There are usually one or two of them for sale at any given time. The GT2 buckets are amazing seats and make the car really desirable.

best of luck!

I recommend getting one with full leather and SPASM. Sport Chrono is a must with PDK if you want launch control!

Sport Chrono is a must with PDK. Used launch control only once for grins. Otherwise, useless gimmick, IMO. But the increased throttle response and shift speeds in Sport and Sport Plus are well worth any premium. PSE is a nice to have. Plus adding a SW center muffler delete pipe wakes up the exhaust even more.

I have also been looking and ran into this one but I am looking for a manual. This fits your specs pretty well. No affiliation.

Default Sounds like my car...

you're looking for. But I'm still smitten and not desiring a change at moment. Agree that Sport Chono is a must with PDK. Otherwise the tranny feels sluggish.

Set aside 20 mins a day to do internet searches. Porsche CPO, Autotrader, PCNA classifieds, etc. The right one will find you

I appreciate all the help so far and will add Sports Chrono to the equipment list as suggested.

Buy the car, buy new seats, sell for carbon buckets for $5-7k and you can pocket the $3-5k difference which will bring down the $57k vehicle price
