Default spin on oil filter conversion for 997.2

i see a conversion on offer, but doesn't seem to cover 08 my or newer.
Does anyone know if this will adapt to these engines?
(09 c2 in this case)

or, just stay with the cartridge type?
what would Aloise do?

Bummer, no reply in 2 years! I have a 2011 C2S, and intend to find out if this will work on my car. Will update the thread with what I find.

I'm pretty sure there was a post on this in the last few weeks and it was confirmed there is none available. It might have been in the thread about the leaking one. Try a search

I am confused. Why would you want a spin on when it is so easy and no mess to change a 997.2 oil filter? The cartridges are inexpensive so I see no cost savings, and a spin on one in the same location would most likely be more of a mess as it would be upside down and the adapter costly . Maybe I am missing something.

My only issue is that you would not be able to inspect the filter for debris.

I asked this a couple weeks ago and many chimed in that there is not a conversion for the 997.2.

I should have been more attentive - looks like only fitment for DFI engine is Boxster and Cayman, not 997.2

Confirmed with Charles Navarro: "No spin on filter adapter for the 997.2 – the filter setup is a bit different and does not lend itself to being reconfigured to a spin on filter very easily."

Horrible idea for 997.2. the filter would be upside down and spill everywhere as you unscrew.

I agree as well.

The .2 cars really don't need a full-flow spin on oil filter adapter. We make one for the Cayman/Boxster 987.2, but it uses a filter with a bypass. These engines just don't generate the debris the M96/M97 engines do.

My sons subaru has an upside down spin on filter and it's not a problem. It could be designed and not be a mess. Actually easier than what we have.
