Tip options for 997.2 PSE?
Hi guys, I have a 997.2 C4S with the factory sport exhaust option. A couple weeks ago I noticed that the passenger side silver tip "casing" was no longer attached (must have fallen off/stolen?). So I removed the other side to have it match - just the matte black tips, but they look pretty...lame.
So far it seems that I have two options:
Order a replacement tips from the dealer ($9xx for the pair)
Order TechArt tips from Sharkwerks ($995 for the pair).
Both of those options seem ludicrously over priced for exhaust tips -- I mean, the muffler delete from Sharkwerks costs less than that!! Does anyone have any other ideas or tips? (Pun intended).

I have an extra set of Agency Power exhaust tips in black for the 997.2. It's this set and should fit your exhaust: https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/...a-p-81865.html
PM me if you're interested. $400 shipped to the lower 48 states.

the techart tips actually fit the oem sport exhaust? i was under the impression that almost all the aftermarket tips ONLY fit the standard exhaust systems that install via a single torx bolt... i mean i could be wrong.

edit - never mind. the heading of the ad says "Porsche 911 997.2 Sport Exhaust Tip Set (2009-2012)"... but then in the ad it says 'Not compatible with factory Sport Exhaust'.

I would suggest checking with one of our sponsors: http://www.ladismantler.com. They don't seem to list everything on the website, but they encourage you to call and ask.
And yeah, the price of new OEM ones are damned absurd. From what I see looking online, the retail price $913 EACH, not per pair. If you end up having to buy a new one, I see that Gaudin has them for only (ahem) $685 each. If you order one, make sure to get the non-GTS PSE version since the GTS ones (like I got crazy lucky and got for cheap) are the reverse color scheme (black shroud and silver tips).
Good luck!

I have a pair of used OEM PSE tips that I removed from my 2011 C4S when I upgraded mine a while back. They are in very nice shape, but I would want to sell the pair together. If you are interested, PM me and I can send you some photos. Thanks, Evan
