LED's installed...causing battery issues
I installed LED's in the over-head/map and doors...now the vehicle will not start. I pulled the battery, took it down to Autozone and they charged it up and told me there were no bad cells. Re-installed and it fired right up. Three days later, go to start it this morning and same thing!
Both times I can confirm there was nothing left on to drain the battery while sitting. And there is enough juice in the battery to illuminate the dash and all normal lights upon entry/exit loco/unlock.
Can these LED's be causing some form of drain on the battery that makes it so I do not have enough cold crank amps?
Any insight is greatly appreciated...
I have always changed interior bulbs to LED's and have never had this problem. FYI I did not change any other bulbs; only the over-heads and bottom doors (no turns, footwells, frunk or rear deck lid). Terminals are clean...
HELP! Thanks

That is bizarre because LED's use much less power than conventional lights. I know on the exterior fogs my LED's will only work with the bulb installed in one position; reverse it and the lights don't work. I don't recall that issue with my interior LED's but you might try systematically removing bulbs to see if you can isolate it to one location.
I agree with the others that something doesn't seem to add up. The car would turn off power to the LEDs just like the original bulbs so I don't readily see how they could be causing this drain.
It would seem the first thing to try is to put back the original bulbs for a period of time and see if the problem persists or disappears. Maybe something else just happened to go wrong about the same time and you are being misled into thinking it is the LEDs. If the problem goes away with the original bulbs, then I'll be quite confused too.

Sooo...now the question is, what type of replacement does everyone recommend? I am familiar with Interstate, Optima, Duralast and OEM Mopar...H8 was the reading so it is a standard battery replacement. Please let me know what you have done if your time was up...
Glad it was simple. Clearly, one of the problems that is difficult to trouble shoot is an electrical issue when you did something else electrically at about the same time. You always suspect your own work!
I kept going over and over what I did, what it could be, did I miss something? But now it is time for a new battery! So are people replacing theirs with OEM? The upgraded AGM? Other brand? Please do tell

Lots of good info here. Both battery sizes seem to fit fine, but the larger one requires some additional hardware to secure it. AGMs are great batteries. I have had very good luck with AutoZone's Durlalast AGM batteries in my other cars. It also appears an OEM one can purchase through an Audi dealer for less than the Porsche dealer.

H7/94R is the correct size - H8 will fit - it's longer so you'll have to modify the hold-down clamp. Was-Mart, Interstate, Bosch are all good choices. The OEM is a Moll - while a good battery, warranty isn't as good as aftermarket. You can get a Bosch AGM through Pep Boys on-line usually with a 25% discount - pick it up at the store.
