Default My 911 Journal

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who contributed, posted pictures, gave me advice or directed me in the right direction while I was searching for answers in my first thread here

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...-purchase.html

Like I said I always liked Porsches, since I was little kid. I don't remember this - my parents told me - but as a kid I liked to go on thebalcony and watch cars passing by. I would ask my dad about their names and I memorized them all. I was about 3 or 4 years old. There was only one 911 in the city I lived in. I think it was the classic one - built between 64-89. I can't recall why but I loved this car. Shape or noise it was making or both. I remember my dad had this

Nothing even remotely close but I loved being driven around in it. But I always looked for that Porsche. My dad later bought a 964 911 matchbox model instead and it was my favorite toy. Fast forward to my first car at age 20. Check this out... Engine in the back and aircooled!!!

And to give you a perspective...

0.65L 2 cylinder, aircooled, 24HP, 4 speed with unsyncronized 1st, over 50MPG, no power steering, no power (drums all around) brakes... well no power anything in fact, technically no heating (it was so bad), no radio, seats in the back were useless... But it was awesome. A bit like 911.... NOT!

Then I had MKI Golf 1.5 diesel, MKII GTI, E30 325CI and then moved to USA. I gave away entire collection of my matchbox models to naighborhood kids... except the 911. I still have it laying around somewhere...

Here in US my family started rebuilding our lives. Me a huge gearhead being on the bus to work was a punishment. 6 months later I couldn't take it and bought 16 years old VW Jetta MKII - I was free and able to go where and when I wanted. Then with better jobs more money came in and as a gearhead I was able to acquire newer, better cars - BMW X5, MKIV Jetta GLI, MB C350. I always admired 911s passing by, nearly breaking my neck...

Well the time has come to make my dream come true. And here it is - 06 997 911 Carrera S in Atlas Grey Metallic with 52K miles.
Car is pretty well equipped - here's build sheet:

And the car itself:

Congrats...exactly like my first 997...and very similar to my current 997 except for the interior color. Both Atlas Greys.
