Targa top sun screen problem
I have an '08 997.1 Targa 4S.
This is not a debate regarding Targa vs Coupe vs Cab--haha (BTW--no rattles or squeaks on mine).
Anyway, starting last summer, when I retract the sun screen, when it gets about half way back, it stops rolling up. The screen continues to move back but then loops down behind the headrest of the seat. It is very annoying. If I sit and stare at it, I can tell it is retracting SUPER slowly. If I leave it and wait, it will eventually fully retract (I MEAN VERY SLOWLY).
After a while it resolved, but now its doing it again.
I found replacement screens on Suncoastparts.com. They are even upgrades with a tighter weave.
Has anyone had this problem? Can you fix it? Do I need to replace the screen? Is it a DIY (I am pretty handy)?

I had this problem with my 09 Targa. Brought it to the dealer, they fixed within 1 hr. Just labor, no parts. Now it's been one year since that service and the problem did come back just one time. Fingers crossed. Sorry can't help more.
