Default Flywheel question

Hi guys,
We're at the track and the aasco flywheel in our 997 cannot be reused. I have access to a brand new Sachs clutch however no flywheel.

I can get my hands on a 996 flywheel part #996.114.012.03 where the 997 OEM number is 997.113.012.01

Will the 996 flywheel work?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Aussie Jase
if you have the base Carrera with M96.05 3.6L engine, I believe you can use the 996 flywheel. The E 997 parts catalog I have (dated 2010) identifies this as either 996 114 012 03 or 996 114 012 04.
However, if you have the M97.01 engine, I think you will need flywheel part # 997 114 012 00 or 997 114 012 01.
Hope this helps.

No the 997 in question has a 3.8, so I guess the flywheel available won't work.
