So you want to hit some mountain roads and cruise through Manhattan during the snow storm that is hitting the Northeast/NYC this weekend? Pho King crazy if you ask me. That would be quite an itinerary even w/o the foot or so of snow predicted. Good luck with that.

Hey, I got my car with Aero Kit just so I could use the chin spoiler as a plow.

Yeah... I plow air...

Not snow.

But I do remember doing donuts in my Trans Am in Philly in 1987, behind a shopping center on a snowy evening, only to have a Philly cop come up to me (basically, pulled along side casually), and he pretty much said, "Where ya headed?" To which I replied, "Oh, I just decided I needed to make a U-turn, so I spun around a few times." He just smiled and pulled away.

So, Bruce, where can we do some donuts?!

from above...

Cops eatem, you do them. Classic.

Pho King? stay off the roads. If the storm does hit. We don't want to see you stuck on TV "look at this guy? "

I feel for you guys "up there".

Our local forecast on through the weekend is clear sunny skies with day temperatures in the mid to high 70's, night time high 60's to low 70's. Ocean temperature at this moment 81.3 degrees.

I feel bad for meteorologists. I think it kinda sucks having to predict the weather. I can't remember the last time they got the forecast accurate 2 days in advance, let alone since they've been announcing this storm. They're barely close for the next day and accurate on the morning of,but by then I can stick my head out the window and I'll tell you how the weather's going to be. Lol!
And the media is controlled by those in power and interest. They haven't sold any road salt and other supplies this year. Koch must be pissed. " Go ahead suckers and stack on supplies, the End of the World is coming. " LMAO!
Also, the authorities are using the media as a scare tactic to keep people of the roads in the event we do get hit. This is understandable because they're more efficient clearing the roads that way.
I have a feeling we'll be fine,perhaps we'll get 2-3 inches.

why everytime there is a thread like this, somebody from a southern climate feels the need to share their weather?

Going after Snowy Owls up along the shore north of Basthon. Should be fun.

Once I get my 997 vert I'll make a "technical" out of it, like a machine-gun equipped pickup truck in Somalia, but with a camera tripod.

Sometimes, a weekend blizzard is a very cool thing, provided everyone is prepared and safe.

I know when Spring comes, it's hard to fathom how awesome and alive the world becomes. Poets have struggled to capture how awesome it is. A few have captured how profound it is.

And as for Autumn, well, is there any better time to be a Porsche driver?

Winter is an amazing time of year, and being hunkered down with hot soup and a fireplace (and some libations) enriches the soul.

Make no mistake: When we expect a snow storm and it doesn't materialize, the collective disappointment is almost as bad as having your home team lose the Superbowl on a bad call.

The Seasons rock.

Warm? It was only 41 degrees when I walked the dog this morning, I had to use a light jacket.

And the high is only 69 today, not even 70!
