Default Getty ductail for Canadian...

Long time Porsche owner and fan but just joined the ranks of 997.
Just purchased a 2007 C4S coupe and want to give it some retro swagger....
After seeing all beautiful pics you guys post, it has to be the Getty ductail. Just want to pic your brains as to the most cost effective way for a Canadian near Toronto to purchase one.
Thanks in advance

There was another guy in the Canada section, who ordered from Getty recently. Do a search in there, and MSG him.

Also, I was interested in a Getty ducktail too. Short of cash at the moment, but see if there is a significant discount if you order multiple.

I might even be able to get a friend to bring them up from the US by car, if there is a big discount vs shipping them to Toronto.

MSG me if you want to discuss further.

Ship it to a Niagra Falls Fedex/UPS store across the border and pick it up? You'd probably be dinged to GST/PST, but save on the brokerage fees if you get it shipped to your door.

I fortunately live two blocks from the border so I have a US PO Box for all my Amazon/ebay/US purchases.

I'm wondering this myself. I have an account at CBIUSA and was just going to ship it there.

I ended up ordering it from Getty, nice guys on the phone. Shipping by Fedex with duties $181.00 from California to just outside Toronto.
Still waiting on it so hopefully no other surprise costs considering us Canadians are getting murdered by exchange rate. At $181 shipping from California, I didn't think I would save a lot shipping to a post office box over boarder.
Thanks for all the advise....

Awesome ! I'm excited for you. Keep us updated. I would love to hear your thoughts when unboxing to see if it's a good replica or not.

Hi I just became a 997 owner also, I am also looking at the Getty duck tail. Did yours arrive yet? Is it primed ready to go or pretty rough? Did you buy the classic or sport version?

Joee maybe we can do a group buy to Toronto, if you are still interested.

Hasn't arrived yet. I ordered the Sport version with the brake light and payed for the primer service and wiring harness. From other posts I read, the primer service was cheaper than having your own body guy doing the same work. I ordered it mid last week and they said it would take couple days to get ready. FedEx shipping is on Mondays.
I'll keep you guys posted....

I'll call tomorrow (Riverside location) to check up on my order and ask about discount for group order if you guys want. Then when I get mine I'll give you the run down if you're interested.

Not sure if everyone got messaged but NEB talked to Getty and they will give a group price for 3 or more units. If ordering primer service and wiring harness it will save $268.00(US).
As mine was shipped yesturday, I'll be the guinea pig. When it arrives I'll give you the rundown.....
