Cel question
I'll give you the background on my car. It's an 07 c4s
With 60000miles. I have had the car almost 2 years and my cel has come on twice. The code is p1486. Both times the gas tank was below 1/4 tank. The first time the guy just reset it. I also got
A new fuel cap because my old was was cracking. The car drives perfectly. both times it was after start up. Any ideas if I need to do anything?

There appears to be a TSB on this:
Date: 2008-02-18 Bulletin #: TIS-5-08
Compenent: 061000 ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE
PORSCHE: DME CONTROL UNIT: FAULT CODE P1486. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON; TANK LEAKAGE DIAGNOSTIC MODULE. DEPENDING ON THE CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE AS WELL AS ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAN COME ON AND FAULT CODE MA
Since this is an emissions issue, it may be covered under warranty still.
Here's another thread on the issue:

I think my warrenty is up. I know this is a. Road question but what does anyone think I need to fix this issue. Since it could be a couple of things. I think it could be the solenoid stuck open but I don't know if there's really anyway to tell.
Don't start throwing parts at the problem. If there is a TSB for this, the dealers and good Indy shops will have seen it before and will know how to fix it.
Good luck.
