Default My C2s F77 new owner....

My car arrived the other night and just had a chance to pull it out, wash it and run through what I plan to do with it.....

Wheels bought today and hope to get them on by end of the month. Alcantara gt3 shifter and boot in Should arrive next week... rennline pedal kit. (Not sure to go black or silver.....) will be ordered Monday. I removed some of the tint today (pain in the ***).

Have to say the aero kit looks really sharp in person. Makes me think twice about going retro with duck etc....

Here are a few pics.... Hoping the new wheels flow with the car. Champion wheels for car with the champion F77 kit thought made sense and really like the style. (wheel pic attached)
Thanks for all the help and input from forum members on some of my threads. Happy again to be back in a 997!

First mod arrived today. I had this on my previous 997. It's fairly inexpensive mod and enjoyed the look and feel last time. GT3 alcantara shifter.....

I had the same question but was afraid to ask. It looks like it's an expensive power kit from Champion Motorsports for the 997.1: http://www.championmotorsport.com/pr...ms-997-f77.htm

Nice car.

I'm not sure about rebadging a 911 with F77 just because it has some Champion Motorsports parts on it, though.

Can appreciate that but it's a bit more then a few parts from Champion. Substantial enough where Excellence magazine recognized it and did a full review of the kit. I think Champion offers the rebadge at time of the work. I am a realist so certain the gt3 is quite more the car on MANY levels. But this was an offering for those with c2s cars who wanted more but were not going to upgrade to a GT3 etc. I repeat (before the torches and lynching starts) by no means think the f77 package is in line with a GT3 but think does a nice job at scratching that itch to mod, get more from a c2s, have a more unique car over a base c2s and add some small level of performance.

Again I can understand the comment. That said not as if badged something it's not like adding a s badge to a none s car etc. What I do like is that is sparks up some conversation with those curious what the F77 is.

Just saw the car was badged in the article. One quote in the article I thought was interesting was when they noted the F77 car equipped with the full Tubi set up on their test car sounded more like a Porsche cup car then a GT3. The car does sound great when the RPMs climb but around town tame.....

Very nice car! Congrats. I've liked that car from when it first came out, especially in that special Fashion Gray-ish color, "Man from Chile Grey." Smart to stay with the Champion wheels; those new ones will look great, especially in that gunmetal color. Maybe keep the originals too, though, as the F77 is kind of special and recognized by many to be a "complete car," and it may be good to have all the original parts. Anyway, enjoy it in the best of health. Oh, and yeah, the aerokit looks perfect on it.
