Default Coolant Leak

I'm noticing pink fluid leaking from the rear driver side of the engine. I suspect it's a coolant leak.

Is this the water pump on a 9A1 engine?

What mileage do you have on the car? I've had to replace mine twice every 25000 miles because of bearing or leak.

I would take the belt off and check to see how much play you have on the pulley of the water pump. This leak could be your early sign of time to replace.

The issue I'm having is that pipe/solid hose in front of the cat, (it looks much bigger in the pic), is somehow freeing itself from the top connection you can't see. Apparently, it is/was touching some other part in the engine and with the vibrations it seems to have loosened it over time. The tech showed me and it looks like a bad design or maybe a bad install from the factory. Anyway, they are replacing the pipe and all should be good.

I also asked for a new serp belt, save me the hassle.
