I have PSE and SharkWerks bi-pass and have great exhaust sound now from my 997.2. I am interested in more engine noise and a friend suggested I remove some sound insulation from the top rear shelf and/or back seat area.

I am interested in your thoughts, alternatives to achieve more engine sound, and anyone tried this already?

I swapped to solid engine mount, and now the engine sounds like as if it was directly behind me! It increased the NVH level, but I like it and it doesn't bother my wife and son ;-)

Solid or semi-solid engine mounts could do the trick as well.

Maybe it's time to add a power kit.

Thanks gents. Yes RS semi-solids are on my to-do list - that might do the trick. I've heard an IPD plenum will result in more induction noise too. Will investigate all these options.

I recommend the Rennline tuneable engine mounts. Definitely adds drama to the cabin.

Trade the coupe in for a cabriolet. Sounds awesome at wide open throttle. Then if you drive thru a tunnel with WOT.......giddy up.

Hi I added a GT3 throttle body and plenum with a BMC sports filter these all improved the sound and added an induction sound. You could try an evoms intake or similar as these are supposed to add even more sound. I am unsure of the laws in Canada but in the UK I added 200 cell big bore cats that added sound and power . Last thing I suggest looking at is the X51 headers as the shape which is similar to the stock carerra but bigger bore adds a better popping sound when you foot off the throttle than the standard or custom type headers for the carerra S model. there is more info on this within the forums which is why I did it and they were correct . And if you get too loud you can always add valvetronics to reduce it when you need to eg. got the mother in law in the car lol. hope that helps a bit.
