Vintage-style 997 Roof Rack
Hi All,
Crazy idea that’s been on my mind - Has anyone tried to make or modify a vintage-style 911 roof rack to fit a 997? Rennline and Car-bone make some really sweet racks that I’m itching to modify for the top of my 997.2.
Any ideas on what it would take to make it work? I was thinking you could use Thule feet to the stock mounting points and modify the rack to attach to those somehow.

I think the idea is pretty dope. I’ve got the Thule AeroBlade rack. You’ll probably need some brackets made so that the rack fits the Thule mounts.
So you have reference, I took the following measurements:
Bar bolt mount distance: 3”
Front-to-rear mount bolt distance: 28-3/4”
Front left-to-right distance between top of mounts: 40-1/2”
Rear left-to-right distance between top of mounts: 37”
Hope this helps. Good luck.
