well blow me down with a spoon.......!i have been looking for examples
of MY02's on a 997 for -EVER....kinda, but can you post a few other pics with your wheels, figuring it is your winter set... how do you find them as far as fitment, looks.... etc is your targa an 'S'...if so, does it clear the bigger brakes sufficiently, spacers? what size tires do you run, and is your suspension altered? i am a big fan of these wheels but am still on the fence as to mounting them on my 997...nice targa by the way, i like the cool black stripe...and as always, tia,kk

A couple more.
Thanks G308gt4. I'm really liking the color as well. The entire front of the car, mirrors and rear axle bump-out are covered in rock guard.

A Targa Forum?
While enjoying this thread, I began to think a Targa forum would be interesting. The Targa is a unique body style with unique attributes and issues. I've done some mods to my Pcar and might like to do some more, but want input from other Targa owners. Anyone else like this idea?
My mods: I have added LED lighting throughout from Suncoast, except headlights. Very happy with the result. Took out the airbox and put in the Fabspeed Cold Air Induction. Very happy and I did feel a lift in power, and sound above above 4.5k revs. Had my indie take out the center muffler and replaced with Billy Boat pipes, and at the same time replaced the side mufflers with Fabspeed replacements. The car is quiet below 3k revs and screams wickedly above that. Rump on it, and its truly race car screaming. Rock guarded the entire front, mirrors and rear bump-outs. Car gets 26 MPG on the road... if I can stay off the gas pedal (I can't). Put in the hard wire kit and Blendmount for my Escort iX. Cleans up the interior. Phone mount from Suncoast.
Wants: rear camera, and new brakes (maybe Brembo?).
Hope to hear from everyone on the forum idea? Thanks!

Garker: Sorry, I don't know. I purchased the car from a really good independent dealer (Eurostar Auto Gallery in Maryland), and I asked them to do some things before I would finalize the deal. The rock guard was one of the things. I don't know what brand they used. They are also my indie mechanic.

WTB Targa 4S
Greetings, all!
I'm in the market--no hurry whatsoever--for a Targa 4S manual.
prefer '09, black or silver, highly optioned, but would consider any number of variations.
Happy to travel for the right car--in fact, would love the road trip!
I would give your car a good home in the PacNW.
Thanks for reading and for passing along any leads!
Cheers,
JV

Was a great weekend as I picked up my Targa that I had bought a few week back.
Thought for sure I was going to want to black out the chrome strip along the roof but it looks great in person.
Put about 1000km on her this weekend.
I know I would not invest in the all leather interior for the price if I was building a new one but am glad the guy I bought it off did it as it looks out-standing; as does the midnight blue/stone gray colour combo!

Welcome to the Targa world!
My 997.2 guards red Targa 4 is a joy to own. I'm glad you got yours and I'm confident you'll feel towards it as I do mine. Infinitely customizable whether thru your indie or DIY or a dealer (I've done all 3). I get many thumbs up as I am sure you will as well. Congratulations!
