This one is NOT my car, although I wish it were. It was at Rennsport III three years ago. Turquoise Blue was a standard color on the 993 when this car was purchased. My compliments to the owner if he sees this!

And while on the topic of Turquoise Blue, it is my story that the Blue M&M was inspired by it. M&M/Mars is a kooky secret company located in Vienna, VA. I lived there for many years and upon returning to defend my dissertation I was in Tysons Corner behind a guy in a Turquoise Blue 993 with the tag M&Ms VP. Anecdotal and conjecture filled as it is, I think he loved the color so much, and assuming he was a VP, the Blue M&M is based on the Turquoise Blue M&M. Who really knows if this is true but I'd like to think so, particularly as so many people refer to my car as "The Blue M&M".

I love the Midnight Blue on my 997. It looks black in low light and an amazing shade of metallic blue in bright light.

braymond52 - couldn't agree more. The Midnight Blue can change depending on the lighting and I love it.

I don't believe Porsche's Blue Turquoise is based upon the M&M. They are off in color from 3AS.

This is a great thread on PTS & other aspects of Porsche Exclusive.

And Like I mentioned in my pm to you...Just let me know when your 3AS GTS is taking up too much garage space. It's my favorite Porsche color.
