Default Do all OEM wheels fit after centerlock to five lug conversion? GTS

Im very very close to buying a 2011 Carrera GTS however I want to convert the car to the five lug set up.

I want to have OEM wheels the same size of the wheels in replacing.

Do all five lug OEM Porsche 997 wheels just fit after conversion? If so then what are the wheel specs?

Does anyone have a link to a good OEM Porsche wheel site for 997?

Thanks in advance.

Awesome. Thanks. Another question: is there a way to find out all the optional wheels that were available for order on a particular model?

You know that the conversion is about a $5,000 job. I'm no fan of CLs but they don't bother me as much as parting with $5,000 for a conversion would (although everyone is different, at $2,500 I'd be really tempted). I could be wrong but Wheel Enhancement may take your CLs on a trade for another set of wheels. You may break even as the CLs price point, new is a fair bit higher than, say a Classic. Lacking a fair trade, you could always sell the CLs. Probably plenty of people who might want a second set of CLs for track or winter tires. Point is, getting rid of the CLs partially or wholly negates the cost of new rims.

Insofar as the the optional wheels that were available, at least for the GTS it is probably in the marketing book (that I don't have with me). For other models this is probably available on-line. I seem to have a memory of some of the car pricing sites (NADA, KBB, etc.) having this type of information available.

Good luck!

If you are considering this conversion, check out the thread in 997 GT2/GT3 section. It is long, but a lot of useful information so you can go into the project with some knowledge.

The GTS had the 19" Sport Wheel available as a no cost option.

We have a customer who wants this done. My concern is the different offset. Do we need to change the brake rotors to get to the correct offset.

Is that just for switching to 5 lug hubs or does that include the new wheels too?

Edit: just looked at the part numbers from the thread stronbl linked and all of them are cheaper now than they were in 2011 when the OP of that thread listed them. That's for the hubs and wheel bearings.

You will need to change the rotors on these cars too since CL rotors are different from 5-lug rotors. So add that cost into here too. Rotors will not affect the offset. They have to stay the same unless you modify the caliper mount too... and then more $$$.

On pelican I see 996-351-409-04 as the front left rotor part number for a Carrera S and a GTS as well as other 996 and 997 models. Sunset too.

The five lug S and GTS brakes are the same.. exactly the same. so they will have the same part numbers. 409-05 is for CLs
