Very familiar with this phenomenon, since we are obliged to run on track with the windows down, and the last year has seen lots of rain here. Seems like it dumps just right, directly onto my left knee.

I just wait until I'm turning right to hit the wiper. Less gets in the window that way.

I had the good fortune of receiving my first Porsche (997.1S) right as a Hurricane started to hit the East coast, so I've been driving the heck out of it in the rain and I don't have any complaints.

A little water isn't going to hurt anything. Keep a small rag in the car and wipe if it's that bad.
