Default adaptive cruise control and 997

Hello,
I wanted to ask this on the forum, because I never trust the motivation of a sales rep.

I drive in fairly heavy traffic for a total of 90 minutes each day and although I enjoy my 997.2 C2S, I would love to have adaptive cruise cruise control, which I understand lets you relax from starting/stopping 100 times in rush hour, as the car does it for you.

adaptive cruise control is available on 991 cars, I just want to confirm that this was never a 997.2 option or available aftermarket?
I would prefer to stick with the hydraulic steering, true 911 feel, and smaller size of my 997 if possible.

afaik never an option. Not sure I'd trust aftermarket even if it was available...

Sorry, but it has no place in a sports car. Yeah, I hear the arguments for commuters and such and I say horses for courses.

You must have a PDK - don't think adaptive cruise will shift gears for you. BTW, never available/offered in 997.
