$60 doesn't surprise me, they would likely sell it for $70k and that's how they make $.

I'm kind of surprised the other dealer offered you $69k, does that meat they think they can list for $80k and get close to that?

My view is that any business that makes you a cash offer on used vehicle based a 10 minute inspection (or less) assumes that the information asymmetry works against them and lowers the offer as a result so they make money regardless of the maintenance history of the vehicle.

O/P
It would also depend on your location. If it getting cold, they may have to inventory this vehicle. Thus the number. But I agree with above. Your just shopping, give the guy a number see if he bites. I'm sure you could get it higher. But at the same time, your car sound more valuable to you. Drive and smile.

Yes, that's why some refer to carmax as a dumping ground. While some great cars end up there, a not-so-great example could likely be unloaded.

I also agree that if you are in a colder climate, that may have had an effect on the offer.

The Porsche Exchanged is selling an 'identical' CPO car for $83k.

What did they offer you for your car?

The only offer I received was $60k from Carmax. I just wrote about The Porsche Exchange to demonstrate that a car like mine was being sold for over $80k
