I don't know about that... Seems Porsche put some serious understeering in.
They also put in long gear ratio's

It is all about the driver and seat time. Car itself is overrated. Last time in Palmer there was experience instructor in almost stock 20 year old E36 blowing all new GT3 and Turbo Ss in advanced group as if they were standing. Perfect line and perfect execution of all 230hp. Amazing.

I am happy what I have got and couldn't find limitations except the driver.

What makes the GT4 attractive is that, unlike the Carrera,it's being built by the Porsche GT department,so it comes with a few performance bits and pieces.
Porsche claims the intake system for X51 will not fit. Go whine to them.

Nobody's whining. Get your facts straight before replying. The Carrera S doesn't need the X51 power kit to make 400HP. Actually, with the power kit it makes 430HP.

He isn't going trick it seriously (maybe some DE events) so for him letting go of the GT4 probably made sense. On all but the highest speed tracks (long straightaways) I can see the better balanced GT4 being faster than the GT3.
Hey there's a sucker born every minute, good for your friend.

On that note anyone want to buy my Shelby GT350 allocation?

GT4 has a fully adjustable GT3 transmission. This particular car may have been aligned in for understeer, but you can dial it out if you wanted.

Yep, you are correct! And my "modded" 2008 997.1 is faster than a whole bunch of 991's, I am actually faster than several Turbos on the track....still has a lot to do with Driver.

that thing is sicker than sick and clearly will give the 3 a run for its money..and even though i may never have one, i live on that street where that guy was driving so i'm pretty darn happy even in my ol 96t. only thing i don't understand? is why the chp won't close the road for MY vids lol.

long live the snake! mcqueens old stomping grounds and those that still drive it. clearly, that 4 is a helluva car..even de-tuned.

They probably cut the power down in the GT4 by using a smaller TB and tuning. I added the GT3 TB to my C4S and it really breathes much better more so at higer rpm. I'm sure there are other tweaks though. The size difference in the 911S and GT3 TB is pretty big.

Once people begin to modify cars, then the GT4 will be a very nice platform and it will post some impressive numbers.
