Just spoke to a Michelin engineer at the Werks Reunion. No guideline on when production might start. Possibly in 3-6 months, but really don't have anything firm. New MPSS will be N-rated, tho. Michelin realize they are losing customers, they seem frustrated as well. Not the only one who has expressed an opinion on the matter, either, by a long shot.

I talked to the Michelin rep at the PorschePlatz this past weekend at Road America for the IMS races. He said March/April 2016.

Also said they are working a new improved tire. Sounds like it will fit in between the Super Sports and Cup 2s.

I found a few sets at tirebuyer.com. I didn't believe they were for real until 2 fronts and 2 rears showed up at my door last week. 235 and 295 respectively.

They said they had 8 sets left, but that was about 2 weeks ago.

The Discount tire.com site makes it look like they're available - they let you actually order them and check out - but they are actually out of stock.

I got a pair of 295's off a 3rd party seller on Amazon. They're the real deal. Got sick of waiting for my tirerack backorder to show up.
The 235's should still be available on tirerack.

What's Michelin's problem, anyway? Did they find a quality problem, but decided not to issue a recall?
