Default TPM Sensors

HI Everyone,

I recently purchased some aftermarket wheels and had my closest Porsche Dealership mount them for me. The only issue was the TPM Sensors. The dealership explained my TPMS did not recognize them at all. I called my wheel vendor and he explained they have been using these TPM Sensors for a while and almost no one had issues with them. So my question is... should i take to a different dealership maybe? or does anyone have any suggestions for me?

The wheel dealer would refund me the costs of the TPM sensor if in fact my Porsche's TPMS is not picking them up.

Which sensors are you using? I've had mixed results with different aftermarket sensors?

What year is the car? My understanding is that the TPMS frequency is different between 997.1 and 997.2

Your wheel dealer may have sent the wrong sensors.

I've had mixed results aftermarket as well. One set worked perfectly, another set worked for 10 minutes, then each of the sensors died over the course of an hour. I am guessing bad batteries. I just want to disable the indicator because it's not worth the hassle and the cost. Batteries last 7 years at most in factory sensors, I am guessing less time in aftermarket.

7.1 cars runs 315 mhz, 7.2 cars 433 mhz
aftermarket sensors can be finicky - can read slowly or intermittently, unless u are ready for some heart burn it isn't worth saving the 100 bucks or so difference
