What's the cost of a new upright? If heavily tracked how will the fixed inserts hold up? It would suck to spend the money to fix it only to have it fail a year down the road. Brakes are petty darn crucial and when put under the additional stress of braking into T2 at Laguna Seca, I'd want to know its going to work time and time again. Just my opinion and I guess I could be swayed by evidence of sustainably and cost.

We intentionally use keenserts frequently at work for their higher preload capabilties. I personally prefer them to timecerts. The keenserts have 4 posts that act like a broach and make it nearly impossible to rotate out. They use an oversize tap and you can install them without special tooling by tapping the posts in with a hammer and punch.
