Default 997.2 Pricing and Option List

Hello, all.

First time poster, but long time reader.

I'm currently in a 987.1S and looking to upgrade to a 997.2S. I think I have found my car, but seems cheap for what it is (or maybe it's just me):

2011 997.2S Cab $68k
CPO with 17K miles (from a Porsche Dealer)
Options include:
176 - Sports Exhaust System
250 - Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
342 - Multi-stage Heating System for Front Seats
438 - KOMFORTSITZ RECHTS ELEKTR. VERSTELLB.
541 - Front Seat Ventilation
619 - Bluetooth Interface for Mobile Phone
640 - Sport Chrono Package Plus
672 - Extended Navigation Module for PCM 3.0
680 - BOSE® Surround Sound System
686 - XM® Radio
810 - Floor Mats in Interior Color
840 - PDK 3-Spoke Sports Steering Wheel with Shift Paddles
870 - Universal Audio Interface
911 - Model Designation 911
AN - Black Standard Leather
P15 - Electronically Adjustable Seats
U2 - GT Silver Metallic
XRR - 19" Carrera Sport Wheel
XSC - Porsche Crest Embossed on Headrests

This would be an out of state purchase for me, so looking for any feedback on pricing/thoughts prior to booking the ticket out there.

Thanks!

It appears to be a well optioned car, and while its not overpriced, I wouldn't call it cheap.

Autotrader lists 232 'certified' 911s that are 2009 or newer, under 30k miles, and under $70k. 44 are under $60k and. (While most 'certified' cars on autotrader are true CPO cars, some non P dealers list cars as certified too).

The pricing seems about right but if $68 is asking, I bet you could get it for $65. If its the color combo you want and it ticks the right options boxes, buy it!

Thanks, Blu. "Cheap" was not the best word. Compared to other CPOs, I saw it was very well priced with that option set and being a 2011 as well vs. 2009/10. Just wondered if it was "suspicious"...

I think 68K is a great price for 2011 17K mile car. This also includes a list of very desirable option such as Chrono, seat ventilation, and Sport exhaust. Not sure if PDK is what you're looking for, but if you don't mind it, then I think it's a great price.

Looks like a very fair price for a low mileage car, with good options. If you like the color combo and the options overall, I'd snap that up.

Hello, all.

Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, PASM is a standard option on the "S" models.

I'll be flying out to Texas to go and see this car...does anyone have any feedback on Plano Porsche?

They are a national conglomerate. I don't know if that matters about car quality.

I thought I got a GREAT deal at 66K on my 11' C2S and it was a total stripper and manual at that !
Guards Red has since grown on me,but it was not even close to being my first choice as my personality is quite contrary.
After months of watching I felt the deal was so good though I had to pounce.
For reference this was Feb 14' when I suppose they were a year younger and a bit more expensive? Someone please correct me if that assumption is incorrect.
The good though the CPO on mine is good until 4/18 (over 4 years at the time) and 12.5 K miles.
I already had my "Look at what I got" thread so enough about me.
I only said all that to say I cant imagine any pluses of mine even brings it close considering all those options, So yeah IMO 68K sounds solid for that list.

Blu that sounds low! Surely you are throwing non S cars in that data? making it somewhat irrelevant if so right? (not to take away from your effort, that formula seems a really solid basis for comparison)

You ran that search including non-S cars... i ran the same search but only included s cars and the min price nationally for those parameters (sub 30k miles) was $65,000 and the average price over $72k... I also only included 2009-2011 so the true average is quite a bit higher (I avoided 2012 since some will be 991s...)

You are correct, I included non-S cars. I was mainly trying to point out that once you get up to $70k, you have a lot of options to choose from.

Seeing these low mileage, well optioned beauties makes me want to trade up already
