Have a 2006 997.1 carrera 4s cabriolet. Within minutes of switching it on, the engine fan cuts in. The temperature dials are all normal, but after 30 mins of driving it does feel hot. Is this normal? Is there something I need to flush out or check? It's regularly serviced, garaged at night, and a clean engine bay. Advice gratefully received! Thanks.

Not normal. Engine compartment fan should only cut in either after stop start traffic or after a drive on a hot day. It cuts in after stopping for a few minutes because the heat from mufflers and engine soaks up to the top of the engine compartment. Could come on a number of times.
Maybe a temperature sensor fault.
