Default Need help with Torque Solutions Trans mount

Have a 2007 911 C2S 6 speed. Bought this part off a Rennlister: http://www.torquesolution.com/product-p/ts-por-013.htm

Google search found this thread on a 996tt: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...nt-w-pics.html

(sorry mods if I am not allowed to post link to another forum)

Based on Torque Solutions website this will fit: "Porsche 996TT/GT2/GT3/C2/C4/C4S & GT3 Cup 997TT/GT2/GT3 & RS/C2/C4 and GT3 Cup"

I am mechanically inclined but I do not see this bolting right up. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think it works for a 997.1 C2S manual transmission. That part is the transmission carrier with a built in bushing. A 997.1 C2S MT has the bushing in the transmission, not on the carrier. Here's the 997.1 C2S PET diagrams. #1 is the transmission carrier on the left. Also notice the bushing on the end of the transmission on right

And here's the same PET diagrams from a 997.1 Turbo with manual transmission, different mounting scheme. Again #1 is the transmission carrier on the left with a built in bushing. The transmission on the right only has a single through hole. The torque solutions part you have matches the Turbo transmission carrier.

By the way, I used Function First's transmission mount inserts on my 2006 C2S with MT. They replace #3 in the first PET diagram and insert into the mount on the end of the transmission, stiffening up the mount, but using all the other original parts. See this page for details. Also check out the install instructions at the bottom, some good pictures matching your car.

Did some more digging. The photos above are for a manual transmission. Here's the 997.1 C2S automatic transmission carrier, same as a turbo. So it looks like the Torque Solutions mount works for a 997.1 C2S automatic, but not for the manual transmission.

Thanks for clearing this up. All of the distributors of this product including torque solutions list fitment for all 997 models. This one is for sale if anyone wants it. I paid $200 for it and will ask the same plus shipping. retail is $399 and was used on a GT3 for about a year.

Can you not by stand alone inserts and replace them instead of using a pre mounted carrier?

That's what the Function-First inserts are.
