Sunoco 94 / NJ for the win on this . Avg MPG went from (Shell 93)17.6mpg to 20.6 mpg (Sunoco 94) at about $4.50 gallon and don't have to get out of the car. Car faster too.

 

I started using Liqui Moly Jectron on my port injected engines and DI-Jectron on DI engines and notice smoother idling engines and faster revving. YMMV.

 

Did anyone watch the PCA series on youtube about bore scoring? In the prevention video they talk about how importnat it is to use top tier gas suppliers (do a google search for a list of them) because they include more expensive additives that keep fuel injectors clean. Leaking injectors and injectors that are partially clogged can rinse the lubricant off of the bores causing scoring.

What? You knew there couldn’t be a thread without scoring being mentioned.

They also suggested running a bottle of injector cleaner with PEA through your car every 6 months to a year.
