After driving a VW DSG for over a year, I would say it has absolutely nothing in common a PDK, I have driven them back to back, day after day, and the DSG is sluggish, sloppy and really slow, nothing like the PDK at all, nothing like Porsche's tiptronic really either. I found the Porsche Tiptronic to be very sharp and very responsive, and the PDK to be different in nature but more responsive overall.
