Gauges fogging condensation 997.1 cabrio
Before I purchased my car I noticed some haze on the inside of a couple gauge faces and now a couple months later after having to leave it outside in the rain for a 2 days (with the top up) I noticed condensation or fogging in three of the gauges.
Now that the fogging has gone away there is still a haze or discoloration on the inside of the lenses.
I did a search and only saw this phenomenon cited on some 963 and 964 models.
Would rather not replace the entire cluster. Any ideas?

We have seen a lot of rain around lately. Getting it checked out further.
Hi Tech Electronic Services will recondition/clean up the gauges for $125. They look fairly easy to pull. They posted a video of a 996 cluster removal on youtube and say that its similar....
North Hollywood Speedo doesn't do the newer gauge clusters.

Totally not normal. First thing to do is check your drains. Many in the cowl location, and then two critical ones for the Cabriolets near the rear side windows.
These are extremely well sealed German cabriolets. They withstand serious rains, etc. however, you have to do your part by staying on top of the drains.
