Default Centerlock Nut Assembly

Hi
I would like to swap out my gold centerlock nuts for red. I've received a quote of $566 from the parts dept at a dealer.

Today, I made a similar inquiry of another parts dept while I was at that (different) dealership. He told me that rather than buying the complete assembly, I could buy just the outer piece in red for $200.

Is that right, the parts of a centerlock nut assembly can be purchased separately? Anyone have a schematic with p/n's. The PET I have does not include the 19" Spyder wheels.

Thanks

Yep that's correct. Swapping out the guts per nut take about 30 seconds.

JJ - $200 for 4, or $200 for a single nut? I would guess the former, but just making sure...

Thx

That's a question that I had after I walked away. I need to confirm.

I do have a p/n 99704465001 for just the nut, no guts. Can anyone confirm that's compatible with the GTS 19" Centerlocks. I find it as a Turbo part.

Thx, I had found that, but they have not responded to my query whether that's the whole assembly, or just the cover.

One dealer parts dept replied: "The red ones are for a Gt3 and not recommended for a Gts. Not sure why. But for safety is not recommended."

Huh?? Different offsets??

Dealer is wrong...all center lock nuts...silver black or red fit GT3 GT3RS Turbo and GTS... There is absolutely nothing different in these nuts.

Where do dealers come up with this information? My parts guy doesn't like to see me at the counter since I always ask to see the source of such info like this. We need to point the parts folks to RL as a source of better info.

As it turns out, decided not to go with red. Found a pic of red on black wheels. The red on all black doesn't appeal to me. Red calipers are enough. Looking for black.

usually from what Ive seen for sale is that the black nuts come with the guts and the red nuts are add on just the nut shell. Black will look great though
