Default squealing noise when turning left?

Hi all,

Tried to search but no luck. hopping you might help.

Last few days i noticed that when truing left sharp enough/ fast enough where wheels and suspension gets load i hear this very prominent squealing/whistling noise from the front.
At first i thought maybe dust shield touching the rotors but its not like a metal on metal grinding, its more of a nails on chalk board mixed with high pitch whistle.
someone on planet 9 reported similar issue but not quite as mine. so i dont know.
Any ideals?

2006 C4 6spd, no PASM.

I'm no help but want to "subscribe" to this. I too have a noise when turning left, but mine is more of a Chewbacca noise. Not when he's angry, but like when he's sad or confused. Like a roaring noise, but higher in pitch.

My Zimmerman brake rotors came with a message that said the rotors may make more noise than stock - that they may "whistle". I wonder if your problem is this? Have you changed rotors lately?

Make sure you do not have a rock or pebble caught between the rotor and dust shield. I had this happen to me in my DD and it sounded like nails on chalkboard. Drove me nuts until I removed it.

so it turned out to be a bad steering rack. only 48K miles on the car, disappointing. Thnk g-d for warranty.
Had same issue on my S550 last year but that car had north of 70K on the clock....
