Default Convertible top seal

2006 C4 was showing dampness in passenger rear floor. Cleaned out drains and that helped. Garage now saying seal for top along that side needs replacing. $700??

Seem like they want to earn money.....can you see if it is damaged? If not -Recondition it with rubber seal reconditioner.

I also read a post on another Porsche forum. . The guy had exactly the same issue. Damp rear floors: (translated by Google)

"Probably found the error. If you pick off the plastic front of the loudspeaker at the side of the back seat and unscrew the speaker. Removes a plastic piece. You cannot see the drain but you can feel it inside of the mechanism. There was a lot of dirt in it. Dried and blew clean with compressed air. Hope it can help others with the same problem"

Thanks. Agree. And I can't see damage.

Dampness under rear seat (when I pop seat cushion off) and under mat. There's a convertible top guy near me. I may have him check it out. Gotta be cheaper then my normal service guy.

Good thing it's sunny today.
