Shove your camera or cell phone up against the barrel hole for the bolt. See if you can see down there.
Also some aftermarket wheels use a conical seat bolt and not the ball seat bolt that is OEM. Some pictures will help us help you more.

Thanks, this is going to help. I think heat cycling, old OEM bolts, and the physics of dissimilar metals have created my problem. I inspected and measured the holes on my original lobster fork wheels, and these Asian wheels are identical, including the seating area. And the wheel holes look fine and clear.
