What do you do with a Cayman, three 997.2’s, & a Jaguar F-TYPE S?!

Roads have had some gravel and, occasionally, some traffic. We got into rain out of the Bay Area as well as in Oregon. Route selection has been incredible with amazing roads and views. Kudos to Joe (and David) for all of their efforts! I am sure more photos and details will follow ...

Hands down, the best roads go to Oregon. In fact the quality of the roads in OR is almost perfect...

Words truly can't describe yesterday...even if well-laid plans were not accomplished...well, Mother Nature rules, right?!
No route map for the day because I've heard stirrings that a faction wants to cut out a special section so more shall be revealed shortly...that said, it will be difficult to beat yesterday...

Were these photos shot on 395 on the NV side? What did you think of Monitor Pass CA89, which I consider the top alpine pass in the Sierra?
I look forward to your report of CA299 and especially CA36. Have fun!

David,
These are great pics. You have great eye for composition. We hit Eureka at 4:30 or so, not bad at all. Miss you on the last leg though. Three days of fun drives and lovely companionship. Rennlsiters have their perks.
Tomorrow is CA 36. That should be fun.
Thanks again for working with Joe and put together such a great set of drives. Need to do this more often.
See you in the Bay Area and on Rennlist.

Epic drive thread, David - I don't want it to end! And those are inspiring photos of Porsches in their natural habitat. I and Moby the 997 are jealous. We need to get out more often. Thanks for reminding me that these cars are meant to be driven!

CA36 is fun but it is bumpier than it used to be. Watch for distracted traffic, plowing through tight corners. The roller-coaster section somewhere between Platina and Rosewood has deep dips where you may catch some air.

299 had four construction zones with long waits. Lots of traffic. And a reminder of how lucky we have been on our previous legs (and to be driving our cars). I will leave it to David to describe the morning run from Klamath to Shasta. That was epic!
